After consulting with the Dufferin County Museum and Archives,
here are some notes for holiday treasures artists about taxes:

For those of you not required to collect HST tax, you will receive 75% of the price marked. The museum keeps the other 25%.

For those of you required to collect tax, you will receive 75% of the price marked, but that will include your share of the sales tax. Here are the formulas:

P is the selling price as marked (Which is paid by purchaser)
Y is your sale value (This is your income from the sale).
T is the tax you are collecting on the sale.
*  is the multiplication symbol

Y = (.75 * P)/1.13
T = * .13        or      T = (.75 * P) - Y

To find the Selling Price to mark from the amount you want:

P = 1.506666666666667 * Y       or       P = 1.51 * Y    (close enough for government work)

The 25% kept by the museum includes their portion of the sales tax.
